The GCC starts on May 20, 2010 and concludes 16 weeks later on September 7.

To qualify for the GCC you must:

Build and register your organisation's teams for the GCC. You are now ready to walk around the world!

What happens when I register?

  • A confirmation of your teams will be sent to you via an emailed invoice.
  • All team members and captains will be sent an email welcoming them to the GCC and letting them know what happens next.
  • All participants will start receiving GCC updates.
  • From late April / early May team captains will be sent their team pack including the participant starter packs, team information and everything they will need to get started.
  • In early May participants will be emailed their login details.
System Requirements

To ensure the GCC website works well in your organisation it is important to have your IT people look at our system requirements before the GCC starts. The GCC site can be viewed using two different platforms - Flash 9 or HTML. Below are the requirements to ensure your staff get the best user experience from the GCC site and that they receive our all-important email communications. Flash (Recommended)

The minimum requirement for GCC is Flash Player 9, or a higher version. If you don't have Flash 9 you will still be able to use the site and have a rich user experience via HTML

GCC is web based and requires a web browser. The GCC is built to function with Internet Explorer 6.0 (or higher), Firefox 2.0(or higher) and Safari (2.0 or higher)

Firewalls

Please ensure that the GCC websites (www.gettheworldmoving.com, flashgroupcontent.com, google.com and maps.googleapis.com, www.google-analytics.com) are trusted sites within your organisation to ensure that all participants can log on. This is very worthwhile if your organisation has any type of Firewall policy.

Communication from GCC

Everyone registered in the GCC will receive emails from noreply@gettheworldmoving.com for the next 6 months – please ensure this email address is trusted and listed as a safe recipient to ensure it isn’t regarded as SPAM
